THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

Ervin A. Ausborn, 80, of Belmond, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belmond. Burial was in Belmond Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nellie; children, Lavonne (Dennis) Prescott, of Belmond, Terry (Sue) Ausborn, of Ventura, and Linda (John) Lillebo, of Goodell; 10 grandchildren, Cathy Prescott, Joe Prescott, Kristy Prescott, Larry (Kris) Ausborn, Scott (Melissa) Ausborn, Brent (Keri) Ausborn, John Ryan (Becky) Lillebo, Anna (Mike) Kasuboski, Mark (Tric) Lillebo, and Sarah (Don) Yarbor; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Ausborn, of Belmond, and Bob (Mary) Ausborn, of Ames; brother-in-law, Frank (Gloria) Sherwood, of Mason City; sister-in-law, Corrine Ausborn, of Britt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey and Donald; and a grandson, Billy Prescott.

Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane S., in Belmond, was in charge of arrangements.
