THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, September 11, 2009.

Sierra Jeannine Reitano-Rodriguez (née Grewell), 29, of Ames, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at home. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Seventh Street and Kellogg Avenue in Ames. Interment will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery following the service. The family will greet friends at a luncheon at Ascension Lutheran following the service.

After many battles with pain produced by MS, auto accidents and domestic abuse, Sierra was well on the path to recovery. Her sudden accidental passing was a shock to all who knew, had helped her, and loved her. The pride and joy of her life were her children.

Sierra was born Oct. 25, 1979, to Suzanna Kae Grewell and Jack Russell Canute.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Reitano; daughters, Sophia Rodriguez and Elayna Rodriguez; mother and stepdad, Suzanna and Scott Hanson; father, Jack Canute; grandmother, Marjorie Thompson; siblings, Kristene (Steven) Feldhaus, Sarah Hanson, Jeffrey Hanson and Ryan Hanson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many wonderful friends.

Sierra Jeannine Reitano-Rodriquez (née Grewell), 29, of Ames passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at home. Her family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until the celebration of her life at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Ascension Lutheran Church, at Seventh Street and Kellogg Avenue in Ames.
