Lloyd C. Dadisman
April 10, 1910, to Jan. 2, 1991Lloyd Cecil Dadisman, 80, of rural Nevada died of an acute pulmonary embolism Jan. 2 at the Story County Hospital.
He was born April 10, 1910, in Newberg, Ore., to Lee and Minnie (Miller) Dadisman and lived most of his life in Story County. He was a farmer and worked for the Animal Disease Lab in Ames, retiring in 1985. He married Evelyn Peery Sept. 22, 1976, in Colo. He was a member of Colo United Methodist Church, Colo Senior Citizens, Goodwill Sunday School Class and Farm Bureau, and was a former Lions Club member and a former member of Fernald School Board.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Nevada; four children, Dorothy Sowers of Colo, Daniel L. Dadiman of Nevada, Charles Dadisman of Pinole, Calif., and step-son Arthur Meier of Long Prairie, Minn.; two brothers, Earl of Worthington, Minn., and Claude of Grand Pass, Ore.; two sisters, Mary Dadisman of La Vern, Calif., and Virginia Harris of Willard, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Wise.
Visitation was held Jan. 4 at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Services were held Jan. 5 at Colo United Methodist Church with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Nevada. A memorial fund has been established.
