Louise Ogier, 53, of Nevada, died Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Ringgold County Hospital, Mt. Ayr.

She was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Clearfield, Ia., the daughter of Guy and Mildred Shannon Laird. She attended Kellerton High School, graduating in 1944.

On Jan. 25, 1947, she married Ralph Ogier in Leon, Ia.

Since her marriage, she had lived in the Boone and Slater area, moving to Nevada twelve years ago. She worked in the housekeeping departments of Story County Hospital and Mary Greeley Hospital.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; one son, Ralph James Ogier of Longmont, Calif.; a daughter, Connie (Mrs. Alfred) Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers, Gerald, Donald and Kenneth Laird of Kellerton, and Eugene Laird of Woodward; and three sisters, Alice Wicker of Kellerton, Shirley Stephens of Clearfield, Ia., and Beverly Spriggs of Creston.

She was preceeded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the United Methodist Church, Nevada, with Rev. Cecil Wells officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, rural Nevada.

The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada.

A memorial has been established to Easter Seals, Camp Sunnyside.
