Raymond Keith Gartin Aug. 14, 1923 - March 9, 2001

Raymond Keith Gartin, 77, of Colo and formerly of Nevada, died Friday at Story County Medical Center in Nevada of cardiac arrest. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chet Ryan Mortuary with the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada.

Raymond Keith Gartin was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Des MOines, the son of Luther and Barbara Faye (Laird) Gartin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Helen Cutler Aug. 6, 1962, in Des Moines. He was a magazine editor at Donnelley Marketing in Nevada.

He is survived by his children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carroll Gartin of Wichita, Kan., and Richard Gartin of Des Moines; and one sister, Marilyn Hibbs of Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one grandson.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.
