Funeral Services For Anna Couser Held on Tuesday
Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 2:30 o'clock in the Memorial Lutheran church for Mrs. E. J. Couser in charge of her pastor, the Rev. E. P. Windman.
Favorite passages of Scripture were read by the pastor, in bringing comforting message to the bereaved.
Organ selections were played by Leslie Henderson.
Nevada Chapter 296, Order of the Eastern Star, of which the deceased was a member, attended the funeral in a body and conducted the O.E.S. committal service in the church.
Pall bearers were John Cessford, Karl B. Cessna, Ralph Severson, Eugene Hilleman, Robrt Lattig and William Neeld.
The many beautiful floral pieces were cared for by Mrs. Fred Stenson, Mrs. Herman Sorensen and Mrs. Frank Vail.
Obituary
Anna Day Couser, daughter of George W. Day and Catherine C. Rapp was born November 27, 1898 at Colo. She spent her girlhood in this community moving with the family to the farm north of Nevada.
On December 31, 1927, she was united in marriage to Edward J. Couser. To this union was born one son Richard.
They lived on the Day farm until moving to their present home at 720 D ave., February, 1947. On the morning of February 17, 1951, she passed away at the family home after several months illness.
She is survived by her husband and son, her father George W. Day, her brother Williard Day of Des Moines, her sisters Mrs. Sam C. Morris of Fayetteville, N. C., Mrs. Johnnie Allen of Nevada, Mrs. Susie Young of Maxwell, Mrs. Elsie Hart of State Center and other close relatives and friends. Her mother and brother Jess Day preceded her in death.
She was a active member of the Memorial Lutheran church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Union Veterans, and other social clubs.
