Edward Davis Oct. 8, 1927 to Feb. 26, 1993

Edward "Junior Bud" Davis, 65, of Nevada died of cancer at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

He was born to Ross J. and Florence E. (Clark) Davis at Ames. He married Elaine Brandt on Oct. 26, 1949, at Ames. A 60-year resident of Nevada, he was employed as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of the Nevada First United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge and he enjoyed outdoor activities especially camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Elaine of Nevada; two daughters, Mary Jo Pevestorf of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Annette Briggs of Colo; four grandsons; two sisters: Harriet G. Handeland of Beulah, Colo., and Evelyn M. Miles of Bevier, Mo.; and two brothers: Leonard Davis of Nevada and Robert Davis of Bevier, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Rick Davis.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Nevada, with the Rev. William E. Ballard officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Nevada. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, handled arrangements.
