Mildred Mae (Baldus) Torkelson

Mildred was born on the family farm in Story City. She married Sanford Lund Torkelson on June 28, 1936, then moved to California in December 1953.

She is survived by her husband Sanford; three daughters, Sandy Greene, Betty Frye, Lois Bringhurst; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and her sister, Helen Kahle, all of California; her sister-in-law Clarice Collins of Mason City; and brothers-in-law Cap Torkelson of Huxley and Herman Torkelson of San Diego, California.
