Rita Wolf, 58, of Collins, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her daughter Tracie’s home in Collins. Funeral services are pending with Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

Rita Rae Wolf, 58, of Collins, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her daughter Tracie’s home in Collins. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada, with her brother Joel Ockenga officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada.

Rita was born April 12, 1951, in Mapleton, to Joseph Lawrence and Erma Louise Marie (Meseck) Ockenga. She was a 1970 graduate of Charter Oak High School. On Oct. 26, 1971, she married Max Eldon Wolf in Nevada. She was employed as a dietician at Story County Medical Center and Rolling Green Village. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada. She enjoyed country drives, having breakfast with Max and loved being with her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Max Eldon Wolf, of Collins; her mother, Erma Ockenga, of Nevada; three daughters, Shelley (Sam) Jurgens and Tracie (Cory) Sievers, all of Collins, and Stacie (Joe) Walker, of Grimes; eight grandchildren; one brother, Joel (Debbie) Ockenga, of Napa, Idaho; and one sister, Roxanne (Dan) Phillips, of Polk City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ockenga on Feb. 19, 1984, and a sister, Joy Haaland on Aug. 24, 2004.

A memorial fund has been established in Rita’s name.

Chet Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
