Marvin L. Sorensen (1924-1952)

Marvin Lowell Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sorensen was born Oct. 2, 1924 and passed on to the life beyond on July 25, 1952.

He was baptized and confirmed in Memorial Lutheran church, Nevada. He was graduated from Milford High School in 1944, and worked with his father on the farm during World War II, while his brothers, Richard and Kermit were in military service overseas.

Marvin was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He served 3-1/2 years in the U. S. Army. One and one half years of this army service was in Japan and seven months was on the Korean battle front. He was a corporal at the time of his release from duty in May, 1951. Upon release from duty he remained in the army reserve corps.

Marvin made his home with his parents in Nevada. He was to them a great source of help and comfort at all times, especailly in those anxious hours that were occasioned by serious illness.

They are deeply grateful that he was spared on the Korean battlefront, and cherish the memories of his many kind thoughtful services to them since his return from Korea.

They rejoice in those years of rich fellowship with him, however brief those years were, however untimely they were cut off.
