THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, April 8, 2009.

Bonita (Bonnie) M. Watts, 89, of Eldora and formerly of Ames, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at the Eldora Nursing Home. No services are planned.

Bonnie was born Jan. 25, 1920, in Ellsworth, to Lawrence and Susan (Twedt) Thompson. She attended Iowa State College for two years and was a sales clerk and office worker for Walts News for 12 years. She married Donald R. Watts Nov. 23, 1946, in Ames. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Eldora; and one son, Larry (Kathi), of Ames.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
