N. A. Nelson, Dies at Farm Home Thurs.

N. A. Nelson, 1, [age obviously wrong but as shown in article] prominent farmer of near Ames, died at 6:25 a. m., Thursday at his home two miles northeast of Ames. He had been ill for about 10 days with pneumonia.

Born in Sweden March 10, 1865, Nelson came to this country when he was 23. After residing in Rockford Ill., for several years he came to Iowa and worked on several farms, locating near Ames in 1925.

He was married to Miss Nellie Nelson March 27, 1902.

Surviving him are his widow and three sons, Warren and Ransome of Ames, and Lester of Emmetburg; two brothers, John, of Ellendale, Minn., and Andrew, of Glasston, N. D., and one sister, Mary Nelson, DeSmet. S. D.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon but definite arrangements had not been completed by noon Thursday pending arrival of relatives.

Nelson Services Will Be Sunday

Funeral services for N. A. Nelson, 71, who died Thursday morning at his farm home two miles northeast of Ames, will be held at 2:30 p. m., Sunday from the home. The Rev. Amos W. Stolen, pastor of the Lutheran church, will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
