MRS. BERTHA ALLEN 55, DIES HERE FRI.

Mrs. Bertha S. Allen, 55, died at her home at 917 Kellogg avenue at 11:30 a. m. Friday. She had been ill but a short time.

Mrs. Allen was born April 3, 1880 at Mr. Pleasant. Before coming to Ames in 1931 she lived at Jacksonville, Ill., where she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine.

Surviving here are her husband, Robert C. Allen; two sons, Malcolm and Robert jr.; one daughter, Helen, and one sister, Mrs. J. E. Forbes, Pella.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p. m., Sunday from St. John's by the Campus Episcopal church, with the Rev. LeRoy S. Burroughs in charge. Burial services will be held at Mr. Pleasant Monday.
