THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 5, 2009.

Duane H. Heintz, age 61, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at his home.

He was born December 3, 1947 in Cambridge, Iowa, to Wayne H. and Nete Mae (Rosburg) Heintz. On October 5, 1995, he married Nancy L. Dorsett in Chicago.

Duane was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the president and owner of McNerney Heintz Incorporated.

He enjoyed camping, vegetable gardening, golf, traveling, rehabbing homes and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of Crystal Lake; a son Christopher (Roberta) Heintz of Barrington, Ill.; a daughter Cortney (Chris) Adams of Naperville, Ill.; three grandchildren; his mother Nete Mae Heintz of Cambridge; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janet and George Dorsett of Elgin, Ill. and a sister, Barb (Wayne) Cline of Slater, Ia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Heintz, and a brother, Randy Heintz.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Dr, McHenry, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Rev. Roger Schneider officiating. Interment will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the family to establish a memorial fund in Duane's name.
