THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, February 19, 2009.

Sonja Marie Wibholm, 75, Henderson, Nevada, formerly of Colo, died on Monday, February 2, 2009 at the Henderson Health Care Center. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-Noon on Saturday, February 21 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada. A Vigil service will be held at noon with Father Rick Dagit officiating.
Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Sonja was born on July 26, 1933 in Switzerland to Conrad and Anna Marie (Hitz) Maurer. She was a homemaker.

Sonja is survived by her children, Evelyn Wibholm and Robert Wibholm, both of Cedar Rapids, Norman (Margo) Wibholm of State Center and Linda Zehnder of Switzerland; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren.

In death, Sonja has rejoined her son, Conrad Wibholm, who died on October 19, 1958, her parents, brothers Conrad and Hanspeter Maurer, and her dear friend Ralph (Archie) Argenna.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Marlys and Dick Thornton, Rosie and Joe Muscarella, and Karen Reece.
