THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, January 25, 2009.

Richard Thomas “Rick” Madison, 58, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, Madrid, where the family will greet friends from 2 p.m. until the service time on Sunday.

Cremation rites will follow the service on Sunday and private committal services will be at a later date. Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid is in charge of arrangements.

Rick was born on Nov. 4, 1950, in Boone to Richard H. and Lorraine R. Ladurini Madison.

He married Lynda J. Fuller on Sept. 26, 1981, in Huxley, Iowa, where they made their home. Rick enjoyed taking pictures, traveling and most of all loved spending time with his family. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Lynda Madison, of Huxley; his mother, Lorraine Madison, of Madrid; one son, Brian Madison, of Des Moines; two daughters, Raedena (Keith) Ryan, of Taylorville, Ill., and Danielle (Daniel) Chrisco, of Huxley; one sister, Annette (Bill) Polich, of Madrid; one brother, Steve (Vera) Madison, of Spencer, Ind.; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by one nephew, Mike; his father, Richard; and his mother-in-law, Joyce.
