Larry L. Arrasmith, 70, of Moore, Okla., died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, of cancer in Norman, Okla. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Zearing Christian Church, his boyhood church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, with military rites conducted by Samuel-Reid American Legion Post 334, of McCallsburg. Gary Arrasmith will play taps. Burial will be followed by lunch at Zearing Christian Church.

Larry was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Marshalltown, and was raised in Zearing. He graduated from Zearing High School in 1956. A devoted man, he served the country 22 years in the U.S. Army and 14 years in civil service.

He is survived by four sons, their mother and five grandchildren. Other loving survivors include two stepdaughters, their three children and his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Fredregill Funeral Home of Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
