Robert M. Myers Sr., 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House. Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is helping the family with arrangements.

Robert Merle Myers Sr., 79, of Ames, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home.

Robert Merle Myers Sr. was born May 20, 1929, in St. Anthony, to Thomas and Rebecca (Ewalt) Myers. He was a mechanic and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include 10 children, Rodney, Dale, Mike, Bobby and Chris Myers, Shondell Mulvaney, Ron Dolph, Robert and Jeffrey Myers, and Victoria Smith; one brother, Ray Myers; two sisters, Mildred Kegley and Annabell Smith; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Orville, Henry, Richard and Donnie Myers, and one sister, Sandy Morrison.
