H. Huddlestun Services Wed. At County Seat

NEVADA—Funeral services for H. L. Huddlestun, 69, who died at his home here Sunday after a three weeks' illness, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church, of which he was a long time member.

Mr. Huddleslun had been in ill health for some time. He was confined to his home under the care of a trained nurse for three weeks.

Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery at the side of his only son, Glen Huddlestun, who died in France during the World war.

Mr. Huddlestun was born Nov. 8, 1866 at Fanner City, Ill., son of Charles and Catherine Huddlestun. His mother died when he was three months old. He was brot up in that community and was married Jan. 10, 1894 to Daisy A. George, who with one daughter, Mrs. Greta Burnette, who lives on the Huddlestun farm near Nevada, survives.

Also surviving are a brother, Frank of Webster City, half brother, Bascom of Webster City, and two half sisters, Mrs. Amy Melvin of Belmond and Mrs. Letta Handley of Stafford, Kan. Mrs. Gertrude Chrisman Miller has made her home with the Huddlestuns for several years.

In 1894 Mr. and Mrs. Huddlestun moved to Story county and located on a farm southwest of Zearing. Mr. Huddlestun operated the farm for two years and then purchased a farm eight miles north of Nevada.

Mr. and Mrs. Huddlestun retired from their farm in 1914 and moved to Nevada. For several years Mr. Huddlestun served as deputy sheriff and jury bailiff at the court house. He was a member of the Masonic, Order of Eastern Star and Knights of Pythias lodges.
