Dorothy Hotchkiss, 76, of Ames, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dorothy G. Hotchkiss, 76, of Ames, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, with the Rev. Whit Malone officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Iowa State University Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Collegiate Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy G. Hotchkiss was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Oklahoma City, to John and Edith (Felend) Ives. She married Donald Hotchkiss on April 18, 1952, in Stillwater, Okla. She worked in the Registrar's Office at ISU for 15 years and was a member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church, the church choir, PEO Chapter IV and Ames Crosstrailers Square Dance Club.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Ames; children, William A. (Robin) Hotchkiss, of Omaha, Neb., and Elizabeth Ann (Robert) Flatt, of Austin, Minn.; one brother, John Ives, of Stillwater, Okla.; one sister-in-law Alicia Giebelstein, of Des Moines; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Thomas Richard, in 1994.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to AIDS Coalition or Homeward Hospice.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
