Mrs. Dorothy E. Renfrow, 88, of Zearing, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Colonial Manor in Zearing, Iowa.

She was born to Charles and Lena (Heise) Cave on August 14, 1920, in Detroit Lakes, Minn. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1942 in Frazee, Minn. She married Ray Dale Renfrow on February 22, 1947, in Denver, Colorado. She lived as a homemaker and housewife, and was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Survivors include two sons, Leroy (Ann) Renfrow of rural Zearing and Harry (Sharon) Renfrow of rural Nevada; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray Dale, in August of 1979.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fredregill Funeral Home with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial will be in the Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
