COLO - Frances Louise Scott, 93, of Colo, died at her home Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Frances was born January 19, 1915 at Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of William and Ella (Cox) Armstrong. She was united in marriage to Forest Glen Scott on September 23, 1931 in Osceola, Missouri. Forest preceded Frances in death on October 20, 1989. Frances had worked at the War Plant in Missouri during WWII. She had also worked at Gandrop's Drug Store in Nevada and then later drove a truck with her husband hauling corn cobs. Frances later sold cosmetics. She was a member of the Nevada Baptist Church and was a former sextant of the Colo Municipal Cemetery. Frances enjoyed knitting, sewing, mowing her lawn, and sitting on the deck. She loved her family and her cats.

Frances is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Gloria and Ken Ostrem of Zearing; a son and daughter-in-law: Forest Glen Scott, Jr. and Joanne of Fort Dodge; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 sons: Jackie Duane Scott, Erwin James Scott; Robert Lee Scott; 2 daughters: Barbara June Darrah and Cynthia Sue Scott; 2 grandsons and 2 great-grandsons.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Nevada Baptist Church. Interment was in the Colo Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Nevada Baptist Church Building Fund.
