ALBERT LANDE DIES AT SLATER SATURDAY

SLATER — Albert Lande, 83 years old, a resident of Story county for nearly 70 years, died at 6 a. m. Saturday at his home here. He had been in failing health for six months and seriously ill for the past seven weeks.

Mr. Lande was born in Norway April 18, 1852 and came to this country with his parents when he was 14. The family lived in Polk county for two years and then came to a farm near Kelley. Mr. Lande farmed near Kelley until he moved to Slater about 25 years ago. He was long a member of Bethlehem church here.

Surviving are Mrs. Lande, four children, Amos Lande of Moscow, Ida., Leslie Lande of Kelley and Blanche and Carrie, at home, and one brother, Amos Lande of Slater.

Funeral arrangements await the arrival of the son from Idaho.
