Polk Co. Recorder Dies Friday Night; Was Here Recently
DBS MOINES (UP)—Funeral arrangements were being made Saturday for Mrs. Agnes Lee Hermansen, 46, Polk county recorder, who died Friday night of pneumonia. Her ailment resulted from a cold contracted while returning to Ames last Saturday in an unheated bus.
She was the widow of Sergt. Carl J. Hermansen member of the famed Rainbow division, during the World war. He died in 1919 after leaving the service.
Surviving Mrs. Hermansen are her mother, Mrs. Carrie Lee, and a sister, Mrs. J. A. Harvey, both of 816 Ninth street, Ames, and two brothers, Bishop Edwin F. Lee, Straits settlements, Singapore and Clarence W. Lee Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Lee is seriously ill at her daughter's home here and had not been informed of Mrs. Herman's death Saturday noon.
