MRS. KAREN MALMIN DIES AT M'CALLSBURG

McCALLSBURG — Mrs. Karen Malmin, 88, long time resident of this place died at her home here Christmas morning. She had been in ill health for some time and death was caused by a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Malmin was born in Stavanger, Norway. She was united in marriage to M. Malmin in 1875. The couple came to America in 1881 and settled on a farm near Roland where they made their home for two years. From Roland they moved to McCallsburg where they resided on a farm until a few years ago when they moved into town. Mr. Malmin died In 1923.

Surviving are the following children: Harry of Graettinger, Martin of Minneapolis, Mrs. Laura Grinsley of Clear Lake, Minn., Gerhard, Mrs. Bertha Olson, Mrs. Clara Egenes, of near McCallsburg.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bethany Lutheran church with the Rev. H. N. Bakke in charge. Interment will be in the McCallsburg cemetery.
