JAMES DAVIS DIES WEDNESDAY MORNING

James W. Davis, 77, a resident of Ames for about 20 years, died at his home at 412 East Third street early Wednesday morning. Death was due to indestion and heart trouble.

Mr. Davis was born in Boone county, Ind., March 13, 1858. He moved with his parents to Tama county, Ia., when he was nine years old, and moved to a farm three miles north of Ames 20 years ago. He retired from farming and moved into the city several years ago.

He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Elwood and Ira, Ames; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bidwell, Tama; Mrs. Maud Mattingly, Ames and Mrs. Ida Smith, Killier, Minn.

Funeral arrangements were not completed Wednesday, pending arrival of relatives.

Davis Funeral in Nevada Sat.

Funeral services for James W. Davis, 77, 412 East Third street, Ames, will be held at 9 a. m. Saturday from the St. Patrick's Catholic church in Nevada. The Rev D. A. Gorman, pastor of the church, will be in charge of the service.

Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
