SERVICES AT HUXLEY FRI. FOR MRS. OLSON

HUXLEY—Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Olson, 51, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 p. m. from the home and at 1:30 p. m. from Palestine Lutheran church with the Rev. Peder Buland in charge. Interment will be in Palestine cemetery.

Mrs. Olson, who had been ill for about a year with cancer, died at her home here Monday evening.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Olson, her father, Torjhis Lee, living in Norway, and the following children: Robert and Evelyn of Huxley, and Mrs. Mildred Rimathe and Mrs. Ruth Brown of Slater. She leaves also five brothers, Severim Lee of Sioux City, Mandius Lee of Madrid, Carl Lee of Boone, Torel Lee of Napier and George Lee of Minnesota.

Rites for Mrs. Oscar Olson at Huxley Church

HUXLEY—Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Olson, 51, were conducted from the Palestine Lutheran church here Friday afternoon with the Rev. Peder Buland in charge. Services at the church followed short rites at the home, which included a brief sermon by the Rev. Mr. Buland and a vocal solo by Jessie Olson of Jewell.

Services at the church included special music by the choir, a vocal trio composed of Grace, rancis
and Marjory Berhow and a vocal solo by Esther Sydness. In addition to the sermon by the pastor, one was given by the Rev. Roy Olson of Minneapolis. There were many flowers and donations to the Prison, Santal and Eskimo missions by relatives. The women's auxiliary of the Bethlehem church in Slater and the Palestine Ladies aid society also donated money to the missions in her memory.

Pall bearers were Leonard Tesdell, Bennie Tesdell of Des Moines, Sanford Tesdell, Carl Tesdell, Thor Mason and Walter Berhow. Interment was in the Palestine cemetery.

Bertha Louise Lee was born in Sjold, Norway, June 26, 1884, the daughter of Madeline and Torjels Lee. She came to the United States at the age of 17 and made her home with the Severt Tesdells here for several years.

On July 6, 1901, she was united in marriage to Oscar J. Olson and to this union four children were born, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Raymond Rimathe, Mrs. Trueman Brown of Slater, and Evelyn and Robert of Huxley. She also leaves her husband, five brothers, Mandius Lee of near Madrid, Torel Lee of Napier, Carl Lee of Boone, Severin Lee of Sioux City and George Lee of Sanborn, Minn., and her father, who lives In Norway.
