Myron Goff, 86, of Ames, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at The Abington on Grand. Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Myron (Mike) Arthur Goff, 86, of Ames, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at The Abington on Grand. Burial was in Ames Municipal Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Myron (Mike) Arthur Goff was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Linn and Flossie (Hill) Goff. He was a graduate of Ankeny High School and attended AIB. Mike was a corporal in the Army in World War II. He was co-owner of C and M Excavating.

He married Bernice T. (Van Scoy) Lounsberry on Nov. 5, 1965, in Ames. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, Cyclone Club and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice, of Nevada, formerly of Ames; stepdaughter, Sharon (Daniel) Krieger, of Ames; stepson, Dean (Jean) Smith, of St. Cloud, Minn.; step-granddaughters, Karen (Joel) Longtin, of Sioux City, and Jill Larson, of Fishers, Ind.; step-grandson, Todd Smith, of Austin, Texas; step-great-granddaughter, Brooke Longtin, of Sioux City; step-great-grandsons, Jacob Longtin and Nicholas Longtin, both of Sioux City, Jordan Smith and Benjamin Smith, both of Austin, Texas, and Zachary Larson and Grant Larson, both of Fishers, Ind.; sister, Nina Spensley, of Omaha, Neb.; half-brothers and half-sisters; and nieces and grandnieces.

His parents, Linn and Flossie Goff, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be given to Mary Greeley Medical Foundation Campaign to Read, Teach and Treat, or the ISU Cyclone Club.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
