Mrs. S. T. Worsing Dies Here Saturday, Services at Boone
Funeral services for Mrs. S. T. Worsing, 73, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Nygren, 1115 Grand avenue, here late Saturday evening of a heart attack following an illness of several days from pneumonia and influenza, were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday at the home of her son, Harry, at Boone and at 3 o'clock from the First Methodist church of Boone. The Rev. Harry Travis, now of Waterloo, but former paster of the Boone Methodist church, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Linwood cemetery near Boone.
Mrs. Worsing was a resident of Boone for over 35 years. She moved to Ames last September to make her home with her daughter.
Two sons, Frank Worsing of Des Moines and Harry Worsing of Boone with her daugher at whose home she passed away, survive. Four sisters, Mrs. William Bauersfeldt and Mrs. L. Griffin of Rock Island, Mrs. Mary Roth of Oil City, Pa., and Mrs. Augusta Schroeder of Shenandogh also survive.
