C. F. COOPER DIES SUDDENLY THIS A.M.
C. F. Cooper, 78, died suddenly at his hmoe at 1027 Second street, about 9 o'clock this morning of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Celilia's church. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
Mr. Cooper has made his home in Ames since he retired 13 years ago. He formerly operated a farm in Boone county.
Nine children survive. They are: John, William, Fred, Clarence and Luis of Ames and vicinity; Mrs. George Keenan of Des Moines; Mrs. John Ferguson of Mapier, and Mrs. Henry O'Neil and Mrs. Anna Kennedy, both of Ames. Six grandchildren also survive.
Two sisters and a brother also survive. They are John, Cooper and Mrs. George Ray of Boone and Mrs. E. C. Jordan, Wichita, Kan.

500 ATTEND RITES FOR C. F. COOPER
St. Cecilia's church on Lincoln Way was filled with approximately 500 relatives and friends of the late C. F. Cooper at his funeral services held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. The services were conducted by the Rev. Father Entfinger. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.
Pall bearers were: W. T. Barr, Eugene Burton, E. Ball, James Kennedy, William Kinkade, and James Judge.
Mr. Cooper, 73, died suddenly Wednesday morning following a heart attack, He had made his home here since he retired 13 years ago. He operated a farm just over the line in Boone county during the majority of his life.
Out-of-town people and relatives at the funeral inculded; Mrs. Scott, a niece, and her husband of Des Moines; Mrs. George Keenan, a daughter, and her husband of Des Moines; Mrs. George Ray; a daughter, and her husband of Boone; Ed. Ray, a nephew, and his wife of Boone; Charles Ray, a nephew, and his wife of Boone; John Cooper of Boone, a brother; Mr. and Mrs. John Wagner of Boone; William Cooper, West Bend, a nephew; Mrs. Elia Campbell, a niece, West Bend; and numerous friends and relatives from Ames, Boone, Story county, Boone county. West Bend, Clinton and Des Moines.
