EDWARD C. SNEDECOR DIES EARLY TODAY
Edward Crosler Snedecor, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Snedecor, 807 Hodge avenue, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning at the Mary Greeley hospital here. Edward became ill December 22 with ear trouble and last Saturday he was taken to the hospital where he underwent an operation for double mastoid. He suffered a relapse Tuesday and spinal meningitis developed. This is the second death from spinal meningitis in Ames this winter.
Private services will be held at the Adams Funeral home. The body will be taken to Des Moines for cremation.
Edward was a sophomore in the Ames high school and was a member of Boy Scout troop No. 5 of Ames. He was a life scout and a senior patrol leader.
Besides his parents, one brother, James, 12, survives.
