Former Roland Man Dies Suddenly at Toledo Monday

ROLAND, Jan. 8, - Otis Ferkin, kin of Roland, died suddenly Monday night at his home in Toledo, O. His parents received the telegrams announcing his death almost at the same time they received a message that he was seriously ill. The cause of death is unknown here. Mr. Ferkin and an uncle, Ernie Johnson, left Roland this morning for Toledo to make funeral arrangements.

Services and burial will be at Roland.

Otis Ferkin was a graduate of the Roland high school. He left here about seven years ago for Toledo where he was employed at an automobile factory. Ferkin was a World war veteran.

Besides his parents he is survived by a wife and three sisters. The sisters are: Mrs. Albert Twedt of Hector, Minn.; Mrs. Vernon Stephen of Grundy Center, and Mrs. O. B. Solem of Nevada.
