M. EISENLOHR DIES AT GILBERT TODAY

GILBERT, Jan. 7, - M. Eisenlohr, 83 years old, a resident of this community for 54 years, died at his home here this morning, after a serious illness of a week. He had been in ill health, however, since he suffered a paralytic stroke about two years ago.

Mr. Eisenlohr was born in Luxemburg November 20, 1845, and came to this country when he was 24 years old, and settled at Des Moines. In January of 1874 he was married to Jennie Gross at Newton, and in the same year moved to a farm five miles northwest of Gilbert. Twenty-three years ago the couple moved to their home here. Mrs. Eisenlohr survives, and with her four children, Mrs. Nillie Rainbolt of near Ames, Mrs. Emma Whalen of Pierpont, S. D., Frank Eisenlohr of Havana, N. D., and H. M. Eisenlohr of Larimore, N. D., and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

GILBERT, Jan 8., - The funeral of M. Eisenlohr, Gilbert pioneer who died Monday morning at his home here, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church. The services will be conducted by the Rev. John P. Himmel, pastor of the church. Burial will be in the Gilbert cemetery. Short services will be held at the home at 1:30 p. m.
