R. K. FARRAR DIES AT CARTHAGE, MO., SAT.
R. K. Farrar, 59 years old, brother of H. T. Farrar of three miles southwest of Ames, and formerly of the extension department of Iowa State college, died Saturday morning at Carthage, Mo. His death is attributed to a stroke of paralysis which he suffered about two years ago.
Mr. Farrar, a graduate of Kansas State Agricultural college at Manhattan, Kan., conducted boys and girls club work as a member of the extension department at Iowa State college from 1912 to 1918. In 1918 he went to San Benito, Tex., where he taught in the schools for a number of years.
Funeral services will be held at Axtell, Kan. Mr. Farrar leaves a wife and one daughter.
