Reda Amundson Sept.20, 1938 to Oct. 3, 2002
Reda Amundson, 64, of Zearing, died Thursday of a heart attack at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
She was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Yale, the daughter of Gail and Leona (James) Emmons. She married Harold Amundson on June 7, 1957, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She worked as an administrative assistant for Story County Medical Center in Nevada. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 334 of McCallsburg, the Society for Human Resource Management of the Cyclone Chapter in Ames and Mercy Network Human Resouce Management Groups of Des Moines.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kathy Nelson of McCallsburg and Donna Reischauer of Colo; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Denton Emmons of Kamrar; and two sisters, Zeda Randolph of Ames and Judy Barkema of Jewell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.
Services were held Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg. Burial was in Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg. Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing handled arrangements.
