Wayne Landowski, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Saturday, July 5. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Rubin Memorial Chapel, 7340 Boynton Beach Blvd., in Boynton Beach, Fla.

Wayne Landowski was born Oct. 21, 1947, to John A. and Grace (Kretschmar) Landowski. He attended grade school in Drayton, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., high school at Stanley in Fargo, N.D., and graduated from Pomona High School in California. He began his college studies at Mt. Sac, in Walnut, Calif., and graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

He married Ricki Harmon May 13, 1978.

He worked numerous jobs, including firefighter, bartender, construction and sales until 1978, when he pursued his career in safety at the Human Nutrition Lab at the University of North Dakota, radiation safety at Iowa State University and lastly as director of environmental health and safety at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Ricki; two sisters, Cathy (Ray) Lyle, and Fran (Jerry) Dvorak; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Florence Kretschmar, and John S. and Helen Landowski; his parents, John A. and Grace Landowski; and numerous aunts, uncles and close friends.
