THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 26, 2008.

Spencer Lee Corson, 3, of Story City, died Tuesday, June 24, at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at New Life Pentecostal Church in Ames. Burial will be in Boone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 tonight, at New Life Pentecostal Church in Ames.

Spencer was born May 2, 2005, in Ames, to Stuart Corson and Jessica Rivera. He loved life and just being himself. He was loved by many people.

He is survived by his father, Stuart Corson and his fiancée, Amanda Porter, of Story City; mother, Jessica Rivera, of Ames; stepsister, Hailey Byers; paternal grandparents, Tina Meldrem and fiancé, Jeremy Birkinbine, of Story City, and Bill Corson, of Boone; paternal step-grandfather, James Meldrem, of Story City; paternal step-great-grandfather, Howard Williams, of Boone; paternal step-grandmother, Deb Smith; maternal grandparents, Dianna and Greg Belle, of Ames, and James Clapp, of Iowa Falls; three great-grandmothers, Karen Williams, Mary Corson and Betty Meldrem; paternal uncle, William Corson, of Ames; maternal aunt, Katie Rivera, of Ames; godmother, Mary Dennis; and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by four great-grandparents.

Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames is assisting the family.
