Guy Sowers 1873 - 1950

Guy Sowers was born on the Lindsey Sowers homestead, 2 miles north of Story City, on Aug. 1, 1873, and passed away Jan. 19, 1950, at the age of 76 years and 5 months.
On Jan 11th, 1899, he was united in marriage to Margaret Henderson, and to the union were born, namely: Mrs. V. A. Ericson (Bessie) of Ironwood, Mich.; Mrs. A. W. Orning (Erma), Nashville, Tenn.; and Mrs. A. A. Holt (Sara) of Randall. In addition to his wife and three daughters, he is survived by his brother Charlie and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. All of these were present at the funeral.
Memorial gifts were given to the Randall bible school, Bible Camp chapel, missions, polio fund, personal, and the Story City Memorial hospital.

Henderson and Mr. and Mrs. S. Tjentland of Webster City, Mrs. Melvyna Larson, Lynn Holt, Mrs. Marshall Holt and Mrs. Paul Blanchard of Des Moines, Mrs. E. G. Carey and Elmer Sowers of Ames, Jennie and Etta Templer, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Sowers, Mrs. J. W. Romp, Mrs. A. E. Kalseim and Mr. and Mrs. Will Chalma of Jewell.
