Susan (Hanson) Hadley 1889 - 1977

Susan Hadley was born Jan. 7, 1889 in Humboldt County to Elias and Bertha Hanson. She graduated from Waldorf College in 1907.
In 1908 she married Willian J. Hadley. They homesteaded in South Dakota near Dupree. They returned to Iowa in 1911, living in Eagle Grove until 1933 when they moved to a farm five miles southeast of Nevada. She was active in Farm Bureau, 4-H Club and church activities. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Nevada.
Susan Hadley is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ernest Ulrich of Fort Dodge; two daughters, Ruth Alleman of Ames, Hope Hanson of Santa Rosa, Calif., a son Milo Hadley from Nevada; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The past six months she had been living in Nevada. After a short illness she passed away May 21, 1977 at the Story County Hospital.
