Mrs. Lon (Emma) Williams, 79, of Nevada died Sunday at her home.
A native of East Bend, North Carolina, she had lived in Story County for 55 years. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, the Milford Club, Happy Hour Club, Church Circle and Eastern Star.
Williams is survived by her husband, Lon Williams; a son, Robert G. Williams of Nevada; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Irene Cook of Ames and Mrs. Arlene Strassburger of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Cornelius and Henry Cornelius of East Bend, North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Brann and Mrs. Maude Fulk of East Bend, N. C.; 8 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday. January 10 at 11 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gehrald Riesen officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until Wednesday morning.
