THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, June 3, 2008.

Richard A. Brown, 77, of Colfax, died Monday, June 2, at home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. There will be no other services.

Richard A. Brown was born May 29, 1931, in Gloversville, N.Y., the son of Francis and Lillian (Arnold) Brown. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Beth Pohlman Aug. 2, 1984, in Des Moines. He enjoyed collecting Match Box Cars, Die Cast Models and watching NASCAR.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Beth, of Colfax; his sons, Richard (Kathy) Brown, of Tingley, Ill., and Robert (Aurelia) Brown, of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bill (Marion) Brown, of Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Memorials may be given to the Richard A. Brown Memorial Fund.
