John "Red" Santi 1914 - 1998

John "Red" Santi, 83, of Madrid died Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Madrid Home of complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid.
Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery near Madrid.

Obituary
Red Santi was born in Dallas County on Aug. 8, 1914 to Joe and Albina (Ugolini) Santi. He was a lifetime resident of the Madrid area, and was a retired farmer and ASCS employee. He was a member of the Hopkins Grove United Methodist Church near Madrid.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Santi of Madrid; three sons, Ronald and wife Kay Santi of Boone, Ramond and wife Joyce Santi of Sioux City, and Richard and wife Carolyn Santi of West Des Moines; a daughter, Kathy Monroe and husband John of Indianola; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Aldo Santi of Rogers, Ark. and Dario Santi of Pompano Beach, FL; and a sister Rose Hall of Madrid.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church or the Madrid Home.
