NEVADA – Wayne L. Boten, Jr., 62, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at his home in Nevada. A Memorial Service will be held at the Bacon Funeral Home & Crematory in Nevada - at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 7th.

Wayne was born on February 2, 1946 in Waltham, MA, the son of Wayne and Linda (Dacey) Boten. He
graduated from Nevada High School in 1964. He served as a Surgical Tech Medic in the Army. Wayne worked as a Railroad Engineer. He was a member of the American Legion Post #37 in Ames.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Babul of Nevada; three sons: Chris Boten of Ames, Iowa, Mike Boten of Surprise, Arizona, Boone Boten of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters: Tara Hatfield of Gilbert, Iowa and Sheena Boten of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren and one sister, Donna Karns of Billings, Montana.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Bill, and his first wife, "Susie."

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
