Karl Satre, 22, of Ames, died Tuesday, April 29, of injuries from an automobile accident. Arrangements are pending with Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Karl J. Satre, 22, of Ames, died Tuesday, April 29. A celebration of Karl's life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Adams Funeral Home, with a time to share memories following the visitation. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, in North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge.

Karl was born Sept. 11, 1985, in Norfolk, Va., to Daniel Frazier and Susan Satre-Frazier. Upon attending the Colo-Nesco school district, he was employed as a cook for Applebee's for several years and recently accepted a construction job as a roofer. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside, playing video games, working on car engines, football and spending time with his family and many friends; but his true passion was bicycling.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Barbara and Carole Satre, of Ames; grandparents, Ann Satre, of Pleasantville, and Carole Roe and Arlis Frazier, of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Karl Satre.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
