Phyllis V. Harrison, 64, of Nevada, died on Friday, April 4 at the University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City. Funeral services are pending with Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services in Nevada.

Phyllis V. Harrison, 64, of Nevada, died Friday, April 4, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Tom Poppe officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada.

Phyllis V. Harrison was born April 22, 1943, in Audubon, to Leonard J. and Eloise M. (Wenig) Franz. She was a Nevada High School graduate. She married Garry D. Harrison Dec. 1, 1961, at First Assembly of God Church in Nevada. She was a homecare provider. She loved to entertain and be with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Garry Harrison, two daughters, Sheila (Chuck) Smith and Shari Filbrandt, and two sons, David (Pita) Harrison and Doug Harrison, all of Nevada; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Jaclyn, Ashlee, Brandi, Christian, Rachel, Macy and Alizaya; one brother, David Franz, of Yucaipa, Calif.; three sisters, Marilyn Berry, of Mira Loma, Calif., Jeannette Burton, of Santa Clara, Calif., and Gayle (Lloyd) Havel, of Bondurant; and one sister-in-law, Gloria Franz, of Huxley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Meredith Franz.

A memorial fund has been established.
