THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 20, 2008.

Orvis T. Anderson, 81, of Roland, died today at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland. Burial will be in Roland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Bergen Lutheran Church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Orvis T. Anderson, 81, of Roland, died Thursday, March 20, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland. Burial will be in Roland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland.

Orvis T. Anderson was born March 23, 1926, in Slater, to Otis and Alpha (Twedt) Anderson. He married Mary Ann Grunsted Aug. 21, 1948.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Anderson, of Roland; his children, Linda (Marlin) Klehm, of Clarion, Tim Anderson, of Roland, Scott (Cindy) Anderson, of McCallsburg, Steve (Debbie) Anderson, of Mesa, Ariz., and Ann (Thomas) Lorenger, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Sue) Anderson, of Sarasota, Fla.; and one sister, Jane Ann Alwin, of Woodridge, Ill.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
