Lillian Graham, of Ames, died Wednesday, March 12. Services are pending with Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, March 16, 2008.

Lillian L. Graham, long-term Ames resident, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A dedicated ESL and Sunday school teacher, mother, grandmother, LINK sister, widow of ISU engineering professor Dr. Frederick M. Graham, whom she met while both were students, is survived by children, Frederick M. Graham Jr. (sons Taylor and Frederick III), Stephen Graham (wife Joanne, children Aimee, Joseph and Jessica) and Anita L. Wardlaw (husband Howard, son Mitchell); sister, Jewell Goodloe; brother, David Miller Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Omaha, Neb.

A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, at St. John's by the Campus Episcopal Church in Ames. Interment will follow in the Iowa State University cemetery.

She had successful careers as both a professional tailor and ESL teacher. She was a gifted writer, superb gardener, gourmet chef, artistically talented and a friend to all.

Stevens Memorial Chapel and Cremation Services is assisting her family.
