Jan. 5, 1959-Feb. 12, 2008

Paul D. Fincham, 49, of Rockton, Ill., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 12, at his home. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd., in South Beloit, Ill., with Fr. Jerome P. Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery in Rockton, Ill.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at the Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, in Beloit, Wis.

A memorial mass also will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Paul D. Fincham was born Jan. 5, 1959, in Davenport, the son of Ronald and Mary Corbin Fincham. He was a 1977 graduate of Nevada High School and later was inducted into the Nevada High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was also a 1982 graduate of Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He married Mary Nesheim Sept. 26, 1992, in Jamaica.

He was employed for 22 years by Landstar Transportation as the vice president. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. He loved being with his kids and family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Fincham, of Rockton, Ill.; two children, Dana and Corbin, both at home; his parents, Ron and Mary Fincham, of Nevada; one brother, Rick (Annie) Fincham, of Newton; two sisters, Rhonda (David) Stevenson, of Goldfield, and Elizabeth (Kevin) Gibson, of Ames; and several nieces and nephews.
