June 26, 1954-Feb. 14, 2008

Patricia K. Carr, 53, of Ankeny, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Ankeny Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Ankeny United Church of Christ (602 S.E. Delaware Ave).

Patty was born June 26, 1954, to Kenneth and Mary Bimm in Savanna, Ill., where she spent most of her life. In 2001, she moved to Loveland, Colo., where she lived for five years and recently moved to Ankeny to be closer to her family. She was a reading teacher at Beaver Creek Elementary in Johnston. She was a kind and caring person who had a special love for her family, who meant everything to her, and a love for her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Carr; son, Aaron (Jackie) Kreuder and their children, Kiersten and Kelsey, of Bondurant; daughter, Amanda Kreuder (Rodney), of Ankeny; son, Josh Kreuder (Jennifer), of Savanna, Ill.; step children, Ben Carr, of Rapid City, S.D., and Beth (Craig) McCoy; son, Owen, of California City, Calif.; Sean Carr, of Laramie, Wyo.; and mother, Mary Bimm, of Savanna, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her dad, one brother and her aunt, Pat.
