Nona Babette Jordan, 70, of Huxley, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday, Feb. 4, in Huxley. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Burial will be in Fjeldberg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.

Nona Babette Jordan was born May 16, 1937, in Des Moines, to Beverley and Lily (Higgins) Hill, both now deceased. She married Phillip Jordan July 15, 1955, in Huxley. She was a postal clerk at the Huxley post office for 30 years before retiring in 2000.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip, of Huxley; three sons, Jim (Sherry), of Ankeny, Donald, of Maxwell, and Brian, of Huxley; one sister, Phyllis Geer, of Huxley; two granddaughters, Heather and Jennifer; and one step-grandson, Coleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church.

Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater is in charge of arrangements.
